UPDATE!! AT ROBERT'S REQUEST

LOL! I had to do that. When are you going to update your blog, Robert? Anyway, here's the news I have so far:

I finally learned to read blood gases and interpret them. I was making it too hard. It's really simple if you know the normal levels. And evidently I must have learned some more stuff too. I passed my test. I made an 85 on it, which is a B. YEAH!!!

I'm feeling better about school now that I see how the teachers test and all. My clinical instructor told me that her goal for this semester was to make me feel better about myself and increase my self esteem. She asked me why I'm always saying I'm stupid, so I told her that I have just always felt that way, all my life. I'm glad that she has confidence in me though. I don't feel as stupid as I did, but I still don't think I'm the brightest bulb on the tree. LOL

That's all that's happening right now in my life. I'm keeping my nose stuck in a book, working and sleeping. I think it'll be worth it in the long run.

Have a good day, everybody!

SOMEBODY, HELP ME!!!!!!!!

Okay, I haven't even had my first test yet and school is kicking my butt! I never knew I'd have to learn all this stuff. Isn't that why we have different departments? Right now we're learning how to interpret blood gases. HELLO! I'm wanting to be an RN, not a respiratory therapist. Seriously though, I guess we have to know these things, but I just don't know if I can. If I can't learn it, I'll never show my face at work or to my friends again. Everybody is cheering me on, and that helps, knowing that people have confidence in me, but good grief! My brain don't work like it used to. I guess I killed too many brain cells when I was younger. Just pray for me. Surely God will get me through it (if it's His will). I just hope it is. Gonna be a LONG 2 semesters...

Happy Dwarf

In school we had to take a personality thing to see which dwarf in Snow White we would be. It was a fun exercise, and I was really impressed by what it said about me. Sounds alot like me. I'm Happy! Here's what it says about Happy:
Happy-dwarf people are people persons - they love people. They are warmly interested in others and tend to watch, listen and pick up specific, detailed information about others. They want to like people, and have a special skill at bringing out the best in others. They are extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. Happy's strong desire to be liked and to maintain a pleasant environment makes him highly supportive of others. People like to be around Happy, because he has a special gift of invariably making people feel good about themselves.

Happy takes responsibilities very seriously, and are very dependable. Happy values security and stability, and have a strong focus on the details of life. Happy sees before others do what needs to be done, and does whatever it takes to make sure that it gets done. Happy enjoys these types of tasks, and is extremely good at them.

Happys are warm and energetic. They need approval from others to feel good about themselves. They are hurt by indifference and don't understand unkindness. They are very giving people, who get a lot of their personal satisfaction from the happiness of others. They want to be appreciated for who they are, and what they give. They're very sensitive to others, and freely give practical care. Happys are such caring individuals, that they sometimes have a hard time seeing or accepting a difficult truth about someone they care about or themselves for that matter. That makes it difficult to express a difference of opinion that might be construed as negative by the leader or anyone else in the meeting.

Happy people are focused on reading other people. They have a strong need to be liked, and to be in control. You may observe them changing their own manner to be more pleasing to whoever they're with at the moment.

Happys respect and believe in the laws and rules of authority, and believe that others should do so as well. They're traditional, and prefer to do things in the established way, rather than venturing into unchartered territory. Their need for security drives their ready acceptance and adherence to the policies of the established system. This tendency may cause them to sometimes blindly accept rules without questioning or understanding them.

A Happy who has developed in a less than ideal way may be prone to being quite insecure, and focus all of their attention on pleasing others.

Happys at their best are warm, sympathetic, helpful, cooperative, tactful, down-to-earth, practical, thorough, consistent, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic. They enjoy tradition and security, and will seek stable lives that are rich in contact with friends and family.

About Me

I am now an RN. I love taking pictures, especially of my grandchildren. I love taking care of people and wish there was more time to do it. Management puts so much paperwork and picky stuff on us we really don't have time to do the job we are destined to do.
